With a renewed focus on the important role of the Community Health Worker (CHW), the Home Visiting Coordination Grant has opened opportunities in partnership with other regional county First 5’s to better understand the CHW certification in alignment with MediCal billing requirements. First 5 Humboldt staff are exploring regional training to build workforce capacity and are regularly attending webinars and meetings as we navigate the Partnership landscape in order to build more sustainable services to families.
